This antique scrimshaw baleen ditty box is beautifully engraved with hearts, flowers and vine borders. The "fingers" of the box are sewn in place, rather than being applied with the more common pinnings. Wood top and bottom. Oval. 4 1/2 in. x3 3/8 in. x 2 1/2 in. high. 19th. C. Very good condition with very minor worm damage.
