A charming pair of hand colored prints by Edgar W. Jenney depicting Nantucket scenes reminiscent of the whaling era. The first, "A Visit to the Wharf Nantucket" is dated July 7 '32. It shows a group assembled at the wharf with Nantucket town in the background. The second, "Up on the Walk" is dated June 2, '33 and shows a group of people looking out to Nantucket Harbor, with the Unitarian Church Clock Tower to the left. Hand colored. 19 in. x 22 1/2 in. Archivally framed.
Edgar Whitfield Jenney retired as an architect and moved to Nantucket to paint and teach painting. He was energetic in preserving Nantucket historic houses.
