14389a  Set of Nantucket Coin Silver Tablespoons
This is a wonderful set of 9 large coin silver tablespoons signed Easton & Sanford of Nantucket.  Each one is engraved Sarah West. They are in very good condition with expected minor wear to the tips of the bowls. 8 3/4 in. long.    ca. 1830's 

Sarah West was born on Nantucket on Jan. 12, 1817 and died at age 41 on Nov. 20, 1858.  She married James. M. Bunker, son of Reuben R. Bunker and Rachael Chase. Photo courtesy of the Nantucket Historical Association.

 In April, 1830 James Easton and Frederick Sanford announced their partnership.  They operated a jewelry store in Nantucket until 1837 when the partnership was dissolved.
