This scarce "shopping list" for articles taken on a whaling voyage is filled in for a voyage in the Whaling Bark Eugenia, Dan'l B. Nye, Master, on Sept. 12, 1869. In addition to the quantities listed for whale craft, provisions, tools, cordage, boats, sails, slops, crockery, etc, there are 2 hand written lists of sperm oil sold. The inside covers contain ads for Swift & Allen, Chandlers, and C.R. Sherman & Co., Instruments, etc.

The Eugenia sailed for the North Pacific from New Bedford on Sept 14, 1869 and was lost in the Arctic in 1871.
