Wonderful carved and painted plaque attributed to James Walter Folger titled "OFF SANKATY". A dory is carved at the shore below Sankaty Light with an anchor on the sand and a sloop on the horizon. Exquisitely carved and in pristine condition. Framed under glass. It was given by Folger in payment of a debt to the gentleman who some years later afixed the typewritten label on the reverse. It was inherited by the grandson of that man. 5 7/8 in. x 11 1/2 in., sight.
