Sailing card for the clipper ship CHA’S LULING, von Hagen, Commander,C. Comstock & Co. 96 Wall St., New York agents. Card proclaims her a “splendid and popular ship” .... known to shippers as one of the finest clipper ships ever loaded for San Francisco.” Printed on coated cardstock. Slight chip at upper right hand corner, edges slightly bumped and minor losses on the back where the card had been mounted.
Provenance: The India House, New York
The CHARLES LULING was built at Quincy Point, Mass. in 1865 for Boston owners for the San Francisco trade. She was sold to German owners around 1870.
