Wonderful and rare 19th C. Nantucket fire bucket with Coffin family crest, initialed WRC and dated 1820. William R. Coffin, born Jan. 28, 1794, died Apr. 13, 1863. He sailed in the whale ship Thomas in 1815 and again in 1817. Original paint. Restoration to the attachment on one side of the handle.
