This carved walrus ivory cribbage board, of Inuit origin, is covered with charming engravings depicting native life. On the obverse, flanking the carved game board, are a fish and ribbon seal to the right, and a walrus on the left. The reverse shows a walrus hunting scene in Norton Sound, Alaska with hunter in a kayak about to thrust a harpoon and two other figures shown atop buildings to the right. On the edge there is a dog sled and driver, another figure and an oversized rabbit. Early 20th C. 15 3/4 in. long with a chip at the right end, on the obverse side.
