A whale ivory knob with carved Turk's knot with a contrasting dark separator is mounted on the whalebone shaft of this antique scrimshaw cane. The shaft is carved in sections of carved ribbing, cross hatching and rope turning. 37 1/4 in. long with wonderful patina. 19th C.
