Antique scrimshaw sailmaker’s seam rubber made of walrus ivory and walnut. The top of this unusual seam rubber is made of walnut with a polyhedron carved knob above a truncated and chamfered section of the shaft. This is attached to a similarly shaped walrus ivory section, terminating in the nicely carved working end of the tool. American, 19th C. in very nice condition with very good patina. 6 1/2 in. long
