These 6 Civil War era checks drawn on the Merchants Bank in New Bedford were signed by James V. Cox who was the master of the Abigail in 1839 and the Draco in 1843 and 1847. They date between Oct. 1861 and Aug. 1862 and each has a very nice vignette of a bark. They each measure approx. 2 1/4 in. x 7 in. SORRY, SOLD
